Annison spent 3/4 of the day outside on the patio Friday. We did a little tummy time on the chair cushion and took a long nap on a special homemade blanket (thx Paula) too while mommy stained the deck. It was a very warm and beautiful day. When Steve got home we took a huge dinner risk and went big with baby in tow....The lodge....and she did great!

Happy 2 months Annison

Lots to report this week. Annison turned 2 months on Wednesday 5/11. We had a dr appt and all checked out well. Gained 2 lbs from birth and 1 1/4 inches in length. They unfortunately gave her 3 shots in the legs. Poor little thing screamed harder then I ever have heard. Mommy cried as well :( Hard to see your baby in pain. Thankfully Steve went with me. It was a tough day for all of us. Next appt is in 2 months for more shots, I suppose.

Annison is continuing to sleep well, 8-10 hours. Amazes me every morning when I wake and look at the clock. She eats 2-4 oz every 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours. Still wearing newborn diapers and shirts, but moving into 3 month pants due to her long little bird legs. She is grabbing for things in front of her, likes to go for rides in the car and smiles often. Loves bath and snuggle time with Steve and I at night.

I recently started putting Annison in her crib for morning naps. Haven't been very successful on getting her to sleep, but I was today! First time she soothed herself and slept without being swaddled. Out like a light for a whole hour. :) I snapped a few pictures for the baby book.....

Mother's Day

What a special day! Spent the morning in bed with my little lady bug while Steve made me breakfast. We lounged around until 10 am,  got dressed and headed to Multnomah Falls. For all of you who don't know, Mulntnoah Falls is where Steve and I first started talking as well as the very romantic proposal 2 1/2 years later. It was a nice treat to have a cup of tea and enjoy my two loves in the most special place. We hit the Troutdale outlets after and got Annison some new PJ's & dinner with Judie and my dad that evening. It was a perfect first Mother's day :)

Spring is here and so is wedding season!

I can't believe this Friday Annison will be 8 weeks old. We are coming up on her 2 month Dr appointment too. Can't wait to see how much exactly she weighs and her length. She is so long! Still currently in newborn diapers as well as clothes. Her pants fit perfect in her waste but she is bringing back the high waters in the length. Just in time for spring :)
baby acne is just about gone but the cradle cap is still lingering. She is very strong, holding her head up and squeezing our fingers. She is also a busy body! Moves her arms and legs constantly. Making feeding a challenge. Annison is eating better then ever and sleeping (I would consider) through the night. She is swaddled, fed, changed and fast asleep between 9 and 10 and sleeps till between 4:30 and 5:30.
We are so lucky with wedding season here.
Steve and I also accomplished the first wedding of the season with our new addition. It was a bit of a struggle the week leading up. We did however get really creative using the car, car seat and the stroller. I think the front pack will be a must next wedding!
Annison was a trooper with the long nights in the tent. 12 more to go!
