And the summer begins....

Don't really have much to report. Busy with wedding season and planning a few trips for the summer. We currently have some beautiful wild flowers on the property. Here are some fun pictures of our little string bean.

Taylor Twins Shower

Annison & I attended a baby shower in the tent for my cousin Jenny. Twin boys are expected in 6-7  weeks. We are so excited. The theme was airplanes which fit Mr and Mrs Taylor to a tee! Jenny and Andrew both have a huge passion with planes. We had a ball with all the gals and the weather was perfect too!

from another view..

Annison turns 3 months on Saturday so Mommy and Daddy bought a Bumbo chair! Woohoo!
She seems to really love it and is finally getting to see the world from another view besides the swing. Helps me out too with chores. Lately putting her down or "handing her off" to someone has been a challenge. Not only for her but for me too. She screams until she is back into my arms. It really bothers me to hear her cry. We all hope this is just another faze and it will pass soon. Just breaks my heart to see her sad.

Here is the new bumbo chair!

Grass under an old willow tree

I have spent many many years playing under this old willow tree. As I sat under it on Saturday with Annison many wonderful memories of my child hood were flashing back. It is hard to imagine in all the photos today of the venue that at one time the field was an orchard filled with apple and pear trees.  Among all of the orchard was a very large garden stocked with every kind of vegetable you could imagine. Augy and Nelta worked very hard on this place to keep it all going. I can also remember the stocks of corn we all use to hide in. Oh the good old days! :) Now with just a few orchard trees left, we still can enjoy the fresh pick of summer fruit.

Steve and I hope to one day have a large garden of our own. Its a pure feeling when you can walk out your back door and pick a pear or an apple off a tree. I hope one day Annison will enjoy these simples pleasures as we do today.
